I have always had a love of animal’s especially dog’s and cat’s. I had a Labrador dog Sandy for seventeen year’s the vet said that she was the oldest Labrador dog he had ever known; she was my best friend when I was growing up. I also have a cat Tia, the most beautiful mischievous fun loving thing on four leg’s. Tia was a stray, found roaming the street’s as a kitten with her tail hanging off so she had to have an amputation, now a natural Manx cat. She love’s comfort and to be fed, then to be left to her own devices. She will let you know when she wants to play, she is also very independent. Tia has the most luxurious of cat bed’s, but would rather sleep in a card board box any-day. (I think that it's the old stray cat in her.) I know she would never swap her new life for her old one - she is so loved and she knows it!
We also had a lovely cross Smooth Haired Collie/Doberman Kimmy, who sadly passed away late last year at the age of fifteen. During the later stages of her life Kimmy became incontinent, so we bathed her on a daily basis. She had a special bed that we could wash every day, and she craved attention and knew when it was walkies time, as she would go round and round in circles with excitement. We certainly knew when Kimmy wanted something as she would practically talk to us (generally wanting biscuits.)
Animals have the most amazing way of communicating, but mostly the only time they need to communicate is for extra attention such as playtime or cuddles. My partner is a Grand Master of Reiki and does occasionally do Animal Reiki, This is usually good for animals that are unsettled or going through some stress, due to a house move, or after an operation or just feel generally unwell.
We also have three gold fish ‘Tick, Tock and Jock’ - who say’s that goldfish have little memory? I know they definitely remember me at feeding time; they all wait looking up at me, and all three have quite different personalities.
Robbie Dog, the funniest dog on four legs. Robbie came to me out of the blue, he was about to be put back into the dog's home, and was only eleven month's old at the time and full of fun and mischeif. I am his third owner so you can imagine how confused he was, he didn't know weather he was coming or going - well he was definatley staying! Robbie is so beautiful and with that Terrier trait "full of fun". I have found a real friend in him, and he is very friendly with other dogs and loves to play with them.
I know how special pet’s are to people and how important they are to each person, each and every-one has a unique difference. I love walking and have done some beautiful walks around the Appleton area, in fact we are quite lucky to live in such a beautiful place - the perfect place for dog walking. I have looked after many other pets including rabbits, guinea pigs, ducks, geese, horses and even pet rats!
I love animals and it is a pleasure to care for them.
Poochinies are fully insured and hold a full police check, these documents will be provided on our first visit to our clients. (and can be produced on request)
I am currently studying a diploma in Animal Communication and love every second of it. It has given me a greater insight into the animal's I care for and there behavioural pattens and emotional states, 'a proper little Dr Dolittle!!'
